B4 Outdoors is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides veterans, wounded war heroes, at-risk youth, and the disadvantaged and disabled with life-changing outdoor experiences through hunting and fishing. B4 is run by Kevin Rhodes, a 2017 graduate of the Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School, who has almost 30 years of hunting and fishing experience. He is assisted with the mission of B4 by a group of like-minded hunters, anglers, landowners, guides and outfitters.
B4 will also offer paid hunts, fishing trips, and other outdoor adventures to anyone who is interested. The profits raised from the paid hunts will be donated back to help fulfill the main mission of B4 Outdoors.
How it all came to be
B4 Outdoors has been a dream of Kevin’s for several years but his desire to help others experience the great outdoors began in 2011 as he volunteered with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Take One Make One (TOMO) program which introduces kids to the great outdoors through hunting opportunities. The mentoring opportunities with TOMO allowed him to make connections that provided him an opportunity to take kids with life threatening illnesses on turkey hunts as well as guiding wounded warriors on duck hunts. Those volunteer involvements helping others experience the great outdoors only fueled his desire to one day be able to make B4 Outdoors become his sole mission in life.
